Every day brings a new challenge for Computer Science. The subject is extremely diverse and success depends on the creativity and the commitment of the individual. I gain satisfaction from solving logical problems and working with computer systems. Ever since my IT technician at Secondary School introduced me to programming in Powershell. I always want to know just how computers worked and how much they could evolve over time.
This interest has only grown more intense with each new discovery that I make. I always investigate the invention of a new product or a new programming language that requires me to completely change the SYNTAX of my code. Computers control modern society in such a way that today, we can’t go about day to day life

I worked 6 weeks full-time in the summer working at the headquarters of a multi-national company in the IT division, which improved my understanding of working in a computing environment in the real world. I began, assisting the IT department with their day-to-day roles of sustaining the IT infrastructure and implementing new software. This role enabled me to hone my team-working and co-operation skills whilst undertaking a variety of tasks. I quickly realised that the company must implement new software and infrastructure to remain modern and easily sustainable. Using the knowledge that I gained through self-study and my A-Level Computing course, I developed brand new software to improve the divisions operations and management. The initial success motivated me to develop the program further whilst developing another program at the same time, using programming languages that were new to me, such as Python, Java and VBScript. This experience confirmed to me how much I value and enjoy computer programming.
As a methodical person and a perfectionist, I admire programs that are purpose built and work seamlessly without bugs, both from a programmer’s perspective and from the end users perspective; after all, the best program in the world would be useless if the user interface was flawed. I thrive on a challenge and this is demonstrated in the
