How do airplanes fly? What inventions led to the modern airplanes and jets we have now? We all have these questions in our head but not everyone is curious enough to find out. The dream of flying is as old as mankind itself. However, the concept of the airplane hasn’t been around for that long. Before that time, men and women tried to navigate the air by trying different things I’m stating birds. They built wings to strap onto their arm or machines with flapping wings called ornithopters. On the surface, it seemed like a good plan. After all, there are plenty of birds in the air to show that the concept does work. After all the experiments, Airplanes become one of the greatest inventions of all time.
Before airplanes or anything human made that can fly. Kite was the first invention made to fly. Kites were first invented by the Chinese people several years BC and it was spread around the world over time. The invention of kites by the Chinese was what made people think of making something heavier than air that can fly. After the discovery of kites, people have tried every possible way to be able to fly like a bird. They used wings made of light wood or feathers and tried to fly but there was no success. By 1480s, Leonardo Davinci’s studied bird’s flight and made the first ever studies of flight by illustrating his theories of flights on over 100 drawings.
