School Attire Many public schools and charter schools are requiring students to wear uniforms. As if the students ' attire affect and improve their performance in school academics. Instead, the various school attire policies are affecting the students’ academic performance because they are being sent home due to their lack of proper school regulated attire. They do not have the correct belt, the correct shirt, or even the correct pants. The student are sent to, ISS, In School Suspension, if their parents cannot bring them the correct school attire. The school uniform policies are actually becoming problematic because students are missing classes or even a whole day of school for not wearing the correct uniform. This affects their attendance and grades. School is supposed to be a place where children go to get an education; not to a fashion show where they tell them what to wear. The school administration and faculties should be more worried about how well the students are performing in their classes. When or if the students are failing a class the students ' parents should be informed immediately not at the end of the semester. When the students begin to miss school a few days in a row without parental notice to the school administration, then the school faculty should be calling home to inform and confirm with the student parents that their child have been missing classes in school.
