I would say I’m the same person I was a year ago, with some minor changes. Now, I’m a little more goal oriented. Not that I wasn 't goal oriented before, but since it’s my senior year, I know that the real world is right around the corner and I have made some preparations for it. I am still the same in the sense that I still work hard in school, hard on the track, and have an overall positive outlook on life. Five years ago, I had my mind set on being a pediatrician. Fast forward five years and now I want to become an orthopedic surgeon. Being in college, specifically taking kinesiology classes, has changed my view on what I want to do in life. Although they 're both doctors, the specialities are different, and I am more intrigued in how the body operates on an athletic level. Five years ago, I was a high school track runner. I enjoyed track to some degree, but I didn’t imagine that I would earn a full scholarship to a division one school. Now that I look back on my life, I wonder if I had pushed myself a little harder and did better research, would I have ended up at different school with a better athletic program. Ten years ago, I was a completely different person. I was a sixth grader with little to no worries in life. At that time, I wanted to become a pediatrician, but didn’t know what it took to become one. I was a good student and have been one since I started school.
